| Transcript | (page 108) to day for leaving Picket line on the morning of the 25th Feb. Wash day. Battalion drill, 78 men all told. 3rd Rain last night. Pleasant day. Sutler brought 100 dozzen bottles whiskey to Camp, smuggled in name of our officers. Boslers birthday. 4th Cold wind to day. Dress Parade. Stricker sent our company back to take off our overcoats. 5th Pleasant day. Grand Review by Gen. Hooker. Dress Parade. Co. K once the largest in the Regt. had 2 Sergts. and 2 Privates out. Officers drunk 25 bottles. drank in Wenies tent $2.50 each counts up well. (page 109) 6th Cold day. high wind. Dress Parade. order read to stop Sutlers from selling whiskey, a good thing. Pickets hereafter are kept on duty for three days. 7th Rainy day. all quiet as usual. Dress Parade. 8th Rainy day. inspection in morning. our Co. broke ranks before Stricker came round.
